You guys might all see an event i recorded last week with another driver who thinks it's more important to talk on the phone rather than drive his mcds/gsf truck. I told my gtm he should try and promote it as an educational learning experience as to the argument of cell phone use guys try to argue. This is my opinion but there's nothing to discuss on phone while driving that you can't discuss later that's worth potentially harming or killing someone or their family. And for those that complain about carriers not wanting you to use your cell phone much or at all while driving, get your social life together. Pathetic excuses for men and women.

While I agree with what you stated above, management doesn't care enough to show anything like that unless it's to punish/fire an actual WM driver.

We watched clips last grass roots meeting of a ramp merge and we're told it's our responsibility to slow down and avoid merging traffic, nevermind it's the law that oncoming merging traffic has the duty to yield, and nowhere to move over a lane cuz a car was at rear of trailer to the left. Was told that we should slow down and if we are rear ended it's not our fault.

This is the problem with hiring some hot shot smarty pants, with no real world experience, or even a general knowledge of the laws pertaining to the issue.

I feel like they need a driver or small group of drivers to oversee the decisions made pertaining to safety and transportation. Not some guy who looks at a truck maybe one a week and knows it all. I think a lot of things dealing with what we do day to day could be changed for the better if someone would actually listen and respect what we have to say.

So; the safety guy told you to brake for merging traffic and become a hazard to those behind you because the merger isn’t following the law and merging properly? ? Does he realize that you can be cited for that? You will definitely NOT be cited if a merger slams into you while not merging properly... ugh! I just am shaking my head...

This lady that works in dsd/ receiving here at a store in greensboro unlocks the door and yells at me to c'mon. I ignored her the first time until she said it again. So i realized she wanted me to open the door from the outside. So when i asked why she couldn't open it from the inside she says "im was on workers comp for that." Seriously...

Safety man in Spring Valley told us the laws were being rewritten so that “motorists shall yield to each other” and that’s why yield signs were disappearing from on ramps. I said good, I’m tired of them not merging properly. I’m not moving over or slowing down a big truck because somebody can’t be bothered to put down their phone and pay attention while driving.
