I got yelled at by an asst. mgr the other day when I asked him to break the seal.. he said; since when? You can’t open the door like all the other drivers? I said: I can open the door: after you break the seal: it’s up to you.. I. Don’t. Break. Seals.. he got the idea I guess and broke the seal and opened the door himself.. lol
I break the seal, open doors, put the dock plate in trailer, turn on lights, take the dock plate out, close the door, close and lock dock doors because if i didn't, i would still be in greensboro 6 weeks ago. Those laminated sheets don't mean anything anymore. You know... the ones that say greet the driver, do their job, etc.
Ran into one of those Friday. Guy wanted to drag butt, waste time, 22 pallets......yeppers sparky see you in 45 minutes I am going to have a nice lunch at the BBQ. Radio broadcasts that far. Just let me know when your done. Made him come back to the back to apply the next seal. He did sign for it after all I was screwed getting back to DC before cut off anyways.
You guys have a neighborhood market over there somewhere(swiss cheese memory) in that neighborhood. It was in a strip mall. That recieving clerk, while being one of the more colorful people I have ever met, was just absent minded. Pull a pallet, wander over to check on something, pull a pallet, make sure a vendor binned his backstock right, pull a pallet, go......Just unload the #### truck already! Jeeesh I will retire in a couple decades and they will want the truck back this year
