Yeah they're quick to inspect your truck and dip your tanks but as far as road maintenance-#### it

    Love that 30 caliber "sand".
I replaced both windshields every May and usually needed another drivers side in between.
Loved my flat glass '96 IHC
Bought windshields for $75 each and carried a spare in 4 layers of cardboard under my mattress. Carried nylon pry-sticks, a zipper lock tool and a sample sized bottle of dish detergent.
Changed glass in a truck stop lot more than once.

I’ve never understood people that want bare pavement during a major snow event. From Billings to Laurel and then right around Livingston you could tell right where they dumped a bunch of chemical and then it got cold. Every place else was good snow pack and decent running. Saturday was in the teens and it was good, should be even better now that they’ve had sub zero temps. All the moisture should be out of the snow and traction should be fine until the temps warm back up.

I’m not sure. I haven’t stopped for a while. The parking lot was jam packed when I went by on Saturday though.

I ran west across it yesterday just fine. Way slicker today. I still made good time. But the storm was over Saturday, I saw 1 plow Sunday near St Regis.

If I cab find some above zero temps I'll shut down. -10 now in Pocatello. It was 29* when I left Plymouth yesterday morning, and this was 10 miles south of Butte yesyerday. 20230129_094051.jpg

A lot of folks don't realize there's a big difference between driving on -10* ice and 30* ice.

Use to run on a lot of bush roads up north. Traction was plentiful at -30. Not nearly as good when it was near freezing.

    Siinman and D.Tibbitt Thank this.
