No you dont need a mudflap bracket. However, if you have the bracket, youll need the reflective tape on there(without the mud flap)

I remember when my dad drove my uncle's White Freightliner, there were brackets where the quarter fenders would start being mounted a few years later. Hooked to a trailer, he'd put the flaps there instead of behind the drives. But I think that was before reflective tape was required. That was in California too. (back when I thought that everybody wanted to live there)Dave_in_AZ, D.Tibbitt, God prefers Diesels and 3 others Thank this.

Can go farther with the pretrip thing. If I remember right you’re running a truck that’s ahh..experienced. Well, if I’m the guy at the scale and you hand me a pretrip says there’s absolutely nothing wrong with a 15yr old truck with 750k on it. I’m going out there to take pictures of the ####ing thing because I’ve never seen one of those. Or maybe I’ll just have a quick look to see what I find…from there it can get ugly. A lot of this is a game right. You put some ink on it, he looks and sees it there. Everybody did their job, and he never left the air-conditioning. Sometimes you make your own breaks.W923, God prefers Diesels and Rideandrepair Thank this.

i was gonna say just take off the bracket/flap on the other side so it looks like normal. as long as you have a trailer hooked. u dont need flaps on truck. you should be good til you get home . i wouldnt be scared to run it.
