I’ve been with Schuster a while now and it’s treated me pretty well overall. The regional freight around home is definitely a plus. If you ever decide to make the jump and have any questions, feel free to reach out.

I know they haul a lot of Bomgaars freight. There's about a dozen if not more Bomgaars stores within 75 miles of my house, including one right in town

I’ve only done a few of them I’ve pulled mostly meat and ice cream, especially ice cream since the weather got nice. But I’d call Shawn in recruiting and see what they could put together for ya if you’re thinking about jumping ship.

Enjoy the vacation — well deserved after 7 weeks of running hard. I agree it’s nice we can take extended home times. Some companies try to limit the max days which sucks for those of us that like to stay out a while and take a vacation every couple months.

And I agree with the rest. It might not be some fancy linehaul LTL position or a Walmart job, but it’s hard to beat for a fairly low hiring requirement OTR job. Sometimes it’ll burn you out here, but just have to take some time off and take a breather. Much better to be a bit wore out than sitting around worrying how you’re going to pay bills with low miles.

I’m headed home next Tuesday and will be home for a week also. I try to stay out and keep raking in miles when they’re good, but had my sleep schedule flipped probably a dozen times in the last month and was on recaps for 4 weeks straight lol. Paid off with good miles, but ready for time off also

Not sure. In a serious legal situation, they’d hold liability I assume, but as far overweight tickets, load securement, loading, etc., it’s on us drivers to make sure everything’s in line and any tickets fall on us financially and record, as well as the company’s record

What's the truck spread there? How many 13 letter #### spreaders to KW's? Never driven an International

    Probably 25% KW’s, 75% Internationals.

Odds are you’re getting a #### spreader to start with if you join Schuster since KW’s are typically seniority based (as well as driver cleanliness and care, I’d imagine) . The Internationals are X15’s and fairly reliable — I’m just whiny and picky w trucks lol. But in the 2.5 years I spent in one, I never had any major issues. As far as rattles and build quality, seems like Paccar took a step backwards with the current gen, so really not as much of a difference between the Internationals and KW’s as it seems.

EXTREMELY trivial thing but the fact that their yard is slightly off axis bothers me a lot more than it should[IMG]
