Thanks Im ready to go back over the road and looking into joining Con-way. Appreciate the honest info. Again thanks!
Dont go to work for Conway! You wont get many miles, which will result in terrible pay; $450.00- $700.00 a week, sometimes even less. You'll be lucky if you make $30,000 a year, all for upwards of 100 hours/week of work. Things will not improve much with time, either. This is a VERY low paying job. Inevitably, there will be more posts in response to my post here in defense of Conway. Dont you believe them! Yep, in all fairness, dont believe mine either. Better yet (heres something that you wont be reading anywhere else), go to ANY truck stop and personally talk to as many Conway Truckload drivers as possible. An easy thing to do. Ask them about the pay and working conditions. You see, I am not only speaking for myself; Im also speaking on behalf of the many, many other Conway drivers that are struggling there.
Joe just cuz u wanted everything handed to can't help ur lazy. Last year I started in Feb and I made 42,000.
Where you at now shark bait...uh, er, Surfer Joe? Some cushy gig making 60k, home every night, and they let you run the company because you are so good at it?
I have fill appplication for Con Way and recruiter said will go for orientation next week. What to expect in orientation? Am i already hired or will determin later?
Ur not hired into they give u a packet with id cards. Long as u didn't lie about nothing you will be hired. Lots of paper work videos n ppl talking a road test in a van and a truck
Looking to get in the biz, looked at CDL schools and quiet honestly I think their over priced. Anyone gone through the Conway driver school where you work the dock 1/2 a day and then class the rest, if so how was it?
