My Experience as a Line Haul Driver

Holidays are pretty slow for LTL usually, it's the package carriers that get busy.
My dad drives for Wegmans up there, I KNOW he'll be busy for the holidays..lol

 

Wegmans is a good job! (well I have heard anyways...) not easy to get in but once you do -well worth it!
Oh yeah Wegmans is ALWAYS busy!

 

When you turn 23 you can come over to Swift and lease a truck. As much hometime as you want and triple your income.

or buy his own and and raise his income 6 times over by getting on a percentage lease instead of mileage.

 

Or not buy a truck and team for CR England and make 100 million rupees a year

 

They are apparently the worst of the worst of the LTL business. But that's still way better than OTR with a megacarrier.

 

Oh I know that. I work for YRC, well just got laid off but I love it there.

What's funny is next morning i went to Central and got a pretty good vibe from my local terminal. They offered me a job and i took it. It beats spending saturday night at a god #### truck stop eating Subway.
