Sorry about your down luck. I was in the same boat November through January. I was at a guard rail company for literally 6 shifts. Could not handle the physical demands. This company has near 100% turnover and I was told I lasted longer than 80% who quit during or right after their first shift.dwells40, Rideandrepair, Albertaflatbed and 2 others Thank this.

Daaayuum. You were in the sandbox when it was hot. I didn't show up until '09 but I was active duty. What were they paying you a day if you don't mind me asking?Rideandrepair, Albertaflatbed and MACK E-6 Thank this.

Local Detroit area w/ 6 wheeler 1985-1992. Local w/18 wheeler 1992-1995 Bought Truck 1996. Ran dedicated GM freight Detroit to Janesville till 2004. Bought my second Newer Truck in 2000. Got Authority in 2004. Started running 26 States east of Mississippi River. Wrecked second Truck in 08. Bought 3rd very similar Truck. Running since then. Close to 3 million miles put on my Trucks alone. 7 yrs local beforehand, roughly 400k maybe. One and only wreck, messed up my perfect record. A few minor fender benders along the way. They don’t count. Only majors IMO. No hats to prove any of it. Lol. Still consider myself a Local Freight peddler. It was fun. Finding places without GPS. Knowing addresses, Tricks of the Trade. Most Drivers had a certain area they knew. I knew them all. My time card had the word Wild written on it. Running Wild. Lol. I took pride in having that knowledge and ability. I was fast too. Not the best. But right up there with them.
