With all the changes I have seen in the last 6 months I may be looking at my exit strategy also . We are the Captains of our ship supposedly but reality is all we are doing is holding the steering wheel. Micromanagement, mismanagement and Apathy is causing drivers to look at local employment or better conditions. I need to wait until late January so I get all my bonuses.

They are closing Fontana, Corporate came in friday and let those there know it would close y 5 February. It's okay...they could apply in other parts of the country...if a position was open and if they qualified. Pretty bad they did this just before Christmas.

It's really no secret that Schneider is shying away from company drivers and more towards brokerage operations only. Chris Lofgren has a vision and it doesn't include the employees

  4. Would this be why I keep seeing SNI orange trailers being pulled by anything but SNI? They must either be IC's or brokered loads pulled by the lowest bidder, no?

If a customer preloads a trailer and they can't find a driver for whatever reason they'll end up brokering it out. No sense reloading a different trailer if it's already loaded

True it is. Their fuel, their rules. I'm governed @63 standing on the pedal so it don't make much difference unless I'm passing a Prime or dragracing an Amish buggy with a 3 legged horse

I think we are leaning on the side of becoming Fedex. Just..... On the 110% opposite side of the spectrum. Soon we won't be able to pass those motorized scooters some people still sneak on the highway:eek:

if you're running never ends grades/mountains/hills etc etc like say West Virginia, PA, Upstate, NY etc etc... what does Schneider expect you to do? Brake every time you're descending to stay under 60?
