So I have recently accepted a position as Saia's field safety supervisor. So I will be in charge of the safety calls for the company during the weekends and a few nights (basically after business hours) of the week. Going to be interesting seeing things from the other side of the table, but allows me to relate and provide a better perspective for our drivers then just having someone with no driving experience.
Naptown, 91B20H8, speedyk and 1 other person Thank this. -
We have recently opened a couple more terminals as well. We have opened our 2nd terminal in Washington state and Allentown, PA. I can foresee us opening quite a few terminals in the northeast over the next year or so.

Get ready for lots of interruptions during dinner, or when you try to have some quality time with the wife. I recently had to do a phone interview with a safety director, and he was annoyed to be pulled away from his weekend BBQ. Sorry I wasn't able to arrange a more convenient time with the 4 wheeler that hit me.

Not too bad, I will be working from home from Sunday at 0200 until Monday morning. Thursday night and Wednesday night from 8pm-8am. So basically 3 1/2 days on and 3 1/2 off. I can handle that for sure.
That is the difference with me. I have been training doing this for the past week. That is what I am getting paid for, I would never give one of our drivers an attitude. That is unprofessional and disrespectful.
