2030 cst just lost power, winds are whipping at their worst. Getting crazy, if we can make it another two hours the storm will have passed us.

I am pulling for your safety runningman. My daughter and son in law live in MaryEsther FL which is next to Destin where it was ground zero last night. I have to wait for daybreak to call and see the results of the storm. I hope everyone that was or is in the path of the storm is OK and safe.

    SSB,
Mary Esther is the first town to the west of Ft. Walton Beach. She is about 1 mi in from the coastal hwy. 98. A new house built just this year so she has all the modern building codes, generator and storm shutters. As of last night she was fine just riding out the storm. I'll know more soon when they get up and survey their surroundings. I know that her power was out as of 9pm last night. I hope you and everyone else are safe and not too much damage. Here in the Ocala area we had tornado watch last night about 8pm from a feeder band. I'll keep you updated as I find out more information.

Compared to others in our town we faired pretty good. We just had some fence damage, and our pergola roof ended up on top of our neighbors house. Probably won’t have power for days if not weeks. Extensive power poles down, and power poles snapped. As of this morning 99% of customers in our county had no power.

Ventured out earlier to check on my big truck, it faired just fine. We have a generator so we will be fine for as long as needed.

My daughter and son in law made out fine with no damage to their house or property. Just some branches from neighbors trees and of course about 5-6" rain caused some standing water in their yards. No power since last night so no indication when the electric will be back on but they have a generator for electric. Better than some and safe is the ultimate blessing.
