Either one is BS. Even when I was capable of running for an hour, my heart rate would rise to 160 at even the slightest jog. I could get a 1st class PFT for the Marines, and it was hard to keep rate below 160 in any kind of workout. I had 160 when Werner kept me up 28hrs interrogated me and tore my truck apart...looking for a bottle of piss. The idiot who called it in was stupid enough to threaten me, so I just reported him for having unapproved drugs. Really intelligent to threaten someone who has that kind of crap on you. But nevermind, the moral of the story is that 160 is a very light workout, something like 170 would be normal during running.
And about the ad, Werner hires a ton of drivers out of Florida, we had people waiting weeks to get a trainer, and I couldnt even get a dedicated in Florida to be near my dying father, even with my seniority and coming from within 50 miles of one of the accounts.
I think the real problem is that corporate culture is filled with #######, personality types which do not recognize competence. I just had an argument about this with someone who was throwing a #### fit about some little thing that happens 1% of 1%, and when I told him he should concentrate on the big problems, he didnt want to admit some problems are bigger than others. Thats the kind of stupid that fills the corporate world.
In other words, they didnt intentionally mislead you, they are litterally too stupid to do that or make proper decisions. I was once being awarded trainer of the month out of a thousand hours, and at the same time being attacked by safety and told I was a terrible employee, ect. The idiot claimed to hav 7 years training and was also in charge of prepping students in orientation, and when I brought up "most common macros", he says 13 and 17, which are dropped and picked up MT. That like something you do a few times a month, and he thinks its the most common.
These are the kind of people that get picked out and promoted into corporate culture. I dare you to find an manager anywhere in any corporation who isnt a total ######.

I pulled tankers for Schneider for 2.5 years, they have strict requirements for tanker division, 2 years experience driver you still have dues to pay
not being mean just honest another case of putting companies down because they could not cut the musturdmoosc Thanks this. -
Thanks for the info. Can you tell me the companies that are pet-friendly? Any details you can give would be appreciated.
Also regarding the form "Truckers Report" that matches you to companies, itrequires your SSAN, I'm not sure that's safe. How can I check them out? -
I see craigslist ads pretty regularly for tanker drivers ,no experience, will train with Schneider?I also see some pretty beat up equipment in Schneiders tanker division.
Are these elite drivers ok with driving garbage? -

I thought everyone knew that you are not hired until your ### is in a seat.
Bilbirk Thanks this. -
There is part of the problem. It is a third-party recruiter. I believe it is much better to work directly with a company recruiter.

I started with Schneider today. I took the pre work test and passed it with ease. I am 50 years old and fat. My pulse rate NEVER EXCEEDED 105! If the original posters went as high as he said I wonder what shape he was in. The test was a bunch of simple things that ANY driver should have been able to pass! Since they couldn't I think they have other health issues.

Brother, I'm fat but I know how to work. I've erected barbwire fence in the heat and swamp of Florida, worked cattle and horses, and know my way around construction. I'm glad you passed. But I don't believe for a freagin second your heat rate didnt go past 105 during the one minute stair step...

I have no reason to lie. I'm merely stating what I saw when they put the monitor on my finger. The stepper thing was timed for a minute not how many times you do it. I did it slow and steady. There are ways to beat these things if you really want a job.
I was pissed when I found out I had to do it because as you know you don't get hired unless you do. It would have been a sorry state seeing as I had just quit another job to come onboard.
