Thank you for proving the "after you get a year experience you can get a job anywhere " line is very untrue .

In the current economy, even 2 years experience may not be enough.

D3MON1K sounds like you have an ax to grind now. living in Florida, your options are limited, and that is a choice you have made, so live with it.

All recruiters seem to stretch the truth, try and tell you want you want to hear, to get you to sign on the dotted line. Some will out right lie to you. That we agree on.

Now with the attitude that they are out to screw you, you will think that of any company you work for, as they all have to make a profit from your labors, or they will not be in business very long. Some will out right screw you, Arrow Trucking for one. Others are just so mismanaged that they have no clue as to what they are doing. YRC, Jim Palmer

Others have out grown what the owner can handle and manage, and the middle managers are running wild. Stevens Transport comes to mind.

in defense of d3mon1k, hard working people have a right to be pissed when being scammed by a corporate welfare program like stevens. ....and monkeypuncher does work out of the office in mesquite. her/his job is to offset the truth being told about stevens transport.

Is monkeypuncher's full time position with Stevens a spin doctor or does he have other responsibilities?

And you know personally who monkeypuncher is, and that he/she is an employee of stevens here to offset the truth? I would fire monkey as he is not doing a very good job then.

As for being scammed by stevens, a sucker is born every minute, and if you do not research who you go to work for before signing on, then you deserve what you get.

    KCJ Thanks this.

According to monkeypuncher, he use to be a Stevens Trainer. He now is an O/O driving for a Broadway Show and doing well:biggrin_25514: Shoots a hole in stevens22 :biggrin_2551: idea of him being a Stevens spin doctor:biggrin_25512:

Is it true that if you work for stevens, you have to waive your workers compensation rights in lieu of using Stevens' doctors and being treated at their facility?
I read this in one of the posts here and was wondering if it was correct.

I know this an old post buy you come across as very incredible. Anybody who has a clue can see your just a Stevens insider. Stevens and the rest of them are scams. It's amazing the Government allows you all to jump through all the loop holes.

In the end the freight must move or we do have no economy. Stevens and the rest of them (somehow) accomplish this goal and that is why their tactics go "unnoticed."

We all have to start somewhere and I went to a CDL mill also. We had it rough. We had to stay out for two weeks and run 2500 miles per week AND stay for a year. That was it.

Anybody who reads this thread and still goes to Stevens kind of deserves what they get.
