Id say they are still at least 50% 379. They are selling them and upgrading everyone though.

Line haul is what most guys are on. We also have John deere dedicates, boat devision and a few other specialized devitions. We also have dedicated accounts

Line haul gets called when specialized is backed up and need bailed out.

We just finished our loss securement class today with Mike. Was pretty good class, didn't get really in depth, but I imagine that will come while with our trainer. Tomorrow we start our road driving, and yard testing

What's funny is that after going through securement training you'll be able to spot out other guys's mess ups when you walk the lot at night. You'll know because they get red flagged when routed through Des Moines if they spend the night.

Securement training was good still need work on chaining/strapping a long piece of shotgun coil with an a-strap that gave me some problems but guess that's what trainers are for.

the only thing I think securement training lacked on was going over tarping. But maybe we ran out of time idk.

all in all I learned a ton and was a good experience.

    Shotgun Coil, TMC policy
Chain from left rear to left front (close to front and back of coil)
    Same on right
Chain from left rear to left front (further from front and back of coil)
    Same on right
Chain from left back to right front (X)
Chain from right back to left front (X)
Throw 3 straps right across over top.

Try to use chain pulls when possible, otherwise use stake pockets.

If over 40k, load suicide or call safety.

As for tarping, they dotn have time or enough loads in training, you will learn with your trainer.

Is all the securement training tested? How many fail securement testing? This will all be new to me?

It's not really a pass or fail. They want to see that you're making a good attempt to understand and actually trying. They realize you'll learn more out on the road.

Are you in orientation now or still in school?

if you totally fail though they cut their losses with you. One of our guys got sent home for epicly failing. I mean if you epicly fail it shows your not trying to learn.

But, no one should fail. They give you the test and the answers through out the week. You can ask the answers to the ones not discussed. Then you study the night before. I got 100% and a lot in my class did. Its not hard and since they give you the answers, failing really does dhow your not trying.

Shotgun coils blow. Obviously dependent on size, I put as many #### straps as I can. Along with the chains. I like securement though. Makes me feel safe.
