I was wondering what you would recommend for my 99 n14 celect plus engine. I used to use Lucas but it got too pricey then I was using transmission fluid which I thought work the best then someone recommended seafoam and then someone else recommended regular oil. What do you guys recommend.
N14 additives?

I ran Schaefer’s 15-40 7000 semi synthetic in mine. No additives to oil.
Used Schaffer fuel additive.
Sampled great from 963k to when I sold it 260k+ later.tommymonza Thanks this. -

Walmart two stroke oil.
One ounce to five gallons fuel.
Lucas has been proven to reduce lubricity, increase wear... Do not use in fuel.Oldironfan Thanks this. -
Saw a fellow on YouTube went by the handle Rawze (I think) and he was using 80/90 gear oil in his crankcase of his ISX Cummins. ( 1 gallon/oil change)
Now I don't know anything else, but, when they did the teardown on his engine. 3/4 Million.
He had very little wear to Bearings, CamLobes, Liner wear was minimal.
I was very impressed!! Now in a Video, bare in mind, anything is possible.
But, this guy swears by it.
I think he runs down in Florida. That being said, you probably wouldn't want to do this in the northern climates. With an ambient air temp of -30. LOL But, I've considered it for the summer months.
Take Care!!Oldironfan Thanks this. -
if you got a lot of blowby that gear oil stinks like heck
Oldironfan Thanks this. -
