I had gotten written up in Kansas in the summer of 2011 because there were no identifying info at all on the truck (that's how they gave it to me when I leased it, I know I know, no excuse) so I took it to my home terminal and the guy came out and plastered the blue decals on my blue truck.

I've had DOT tell me all what you said plus city, state. But why would you want to put the minimum, just so you get asked to come in when going thru the weigh station(s)? Use just a little common sense driver, you are not displaying private or personal info. Even if I googled your company, I could get that info. from the internet. not trying to be disrespectful.
Also, if you own your own rig and operating under your authority it's advertising that you have already paid for, for your business.

That did not stop the PA DOT from writing guys up for it.

RedForeman - Think about how much you could have saved by buying stick-on 'mailbox' letters and doing yourself? Don't worry about getting them straight, level, centered, or even spelling correct, either; trucking industry needs more rednecks!
If this offends someone, spend $170 and look professional!! -
LOL. Funny you mention that. Just today I passed by a straight truck on the freeway with his DOT numbers in magic marker. Or maybe he's a chameleon carrier and uses dry erase?
alaga Thanks this. -
KYU does not need to be on the truck though Bill.
