Well like I said earlier, as much as he may have needed it, it just wasnt worth the possibility of losing my job and/or going to jail, and yes he did call the cops. Somehow in cali, I managed to stay out of jail

Second that. DO NOT LEASE. Save up and buy a truck.

Glad you're aware of this. An assault charge will not help you at all in the future.

I'd focus on this point first. Go in and eat some humble pie and see if they'll let you stay on. Job hopping is a killer too.

I agree, when I started with ptl I had my mind set that I was going to retire with them, because I'm sick of all the little odd end jobs. But at the same time they have proven themselves to be pretty bad. Between not paying things they promised such as short haul and having us sit on loads days at a time, ( I'm aware the second happens with most companies) its beginning to seem as though they aren't quite what I heard about from so many other drivers but I do have my mind set that if I can keep this job I'm staying for a year to gety experience in and then if things aren't any better im moving on

Bottom line, the trainer/codriver/student scenario is a disgrace to the industry. Great business model, at the expense of lives.

Sleep deprivation is a form of torture. Bad decisions are always made without adequate rest.

Good luck sir. Hope it works out.

And the main reason I'm considering lease is because if out keeps me rolling when nothing else will, then I have to do it. If I had money saved up or good enough credit I would just buy one

I agree entirely. When I was when the trainer we were up together and he actually trained, then got with another student for teams, the latter is the bad part that isnt smart for any company to do. Thanks. Pray for me. Lol

Yes I'm not impressed with PTL.

Right idea, stay (suffer) the 12 months, keep it clean, rise in the ranks.

We all control at least a part of our destiny.
