You can wind up working for 10cpm in a lease before you hand it back.
Be real careful if you do - I've heard very few success stories.
Hell - I can sit down with a calculator and show you in 10 minutes why it's a bad idea.

Lol I know, I did all the calculations, but the upside to having been to school for auto mechanics is that it can help cut costs on maintenance if you use it, plus if you get the right truck and dont try and top itout or anything you can save on fuel and sometimes profit on the surcharge. You're often dictated to as to maintenance, and not allowed to modify or work on the truck.
55cpm fuel
10cpm maintenance
25cpm truck payment
Trailer lease or payment, insurance, worker comp, elogs . . .
Take above, 3 months industry experience, mix well.
Recipe for disaster. -
Curious as to how things worked out. Are you still with your company? Also is the other driver still around?

They kept the other driver, regardless of his poor driving ability (makes me scared to drive my own car on the road) and fired me. I leave tomorrow to start orientation with western express
