Need advice about APU

    I have a question. I am new to trucking and I have a truck with a APU . Is it normal or healthy for there to be black suet everywhere after I run it all night. I wake up and wash my face and the washcloth is black. I take a shower and when I wash my hair the water is black. This cant be healthy . Please advise.

    Is there black soot all over the interior panels and fabrics? Any type of soot is not normal, good, or healthy... I would first look at the filter under your bed and either get a new one at a terminal or clean the one you have out (blow out with air and then wash in sink). I would also lift up your bed and open the condenser box and maybe wipe that as good as you can. Im wondering if someone cut off the ends for the drain hose so now dirt and bugs can get up into that box...

    That is definitely not normal. Mine leaves black suit on the ground when parked, and that's what I thought you meant at first. There should be any way for it to have black suit inside from the APU. If there is black suit inside, it is likely from the truck exhaust, and it has a leak inside the truck. If this is the case you need to seek medical examination ASAP.
