I found an 18 inch antenna from Flying J for my pickup. It sticks to the back window glass. Inside the window glass is the end of the antenna coaxial cable. The antenna folds down or unscrews, whatever your preference. I left it on and came into the garage no problems, just gently scraped along the garage door.

My luck with through the glass antennas was dismal at best.

well, i thought I had you til I saw "without adj tips", but I will tell you anyway, skipshooter is an excellent fiberglass ant, but it has a 10p nail at the top for swr adj, and it is a good ant, around $25 depending on length. I agree francis are not what they used to be, I believe a few years ago they were bought about by barjan, roadpro somebody. but my recc. is a skipshooter get the swr's set and done. they are made in southaven ms, by a guy named terry and can be found in cb shops in our area, al/ms/tn/ar/tx/etc. just my .02 good luck.
