They suck. Want to load produce out of Cali to NC for 2900 when everybody else including TQL is paying upwards of 6 grand for the same lane & commodities.
Need freight broker

Dang. I figured rates had come up. I was hauling strawberries & other produce to Boston for $6k 20 years ago. Maybe I'll stick to van freight as my rates are almost that good.
-
I just took a load of melons from Mendota, CA to Pageland, SC for 6K.
-
How fast can you make that trip?
-
I run team and do it in about 44 hours. I've done it solo in 4 days.

Loads out of IN are paying really really well right now. I know we're paying 2900 for 830 loaded miles today going to Orlando area... And there are a bunch of brokers out there trying to convince the customer to pay more than that.
-
Not sure if they are yours or not, but I see those Orlando area loads for 2900. I think that's a solid rate for anyone wanting to head south. Probably your big challenge is guys getting a few hundred less to head east on less miles. It's tough right now finding reefer haz heading to NJ.Last edited: Aug 24, 2017

What's the Orlando to IN rate now?Night_driver Thanks this.

Practically zero. Does it matter? They need to make 400 bucks coming back to be at 2.00 a mile all miles for the round trip. If they go to FL a lot or better yet live there they have freight coming back at 1.00-1.25 a mile making the whole trip extremely profitable.

2.00 a mile is a joke for a reefer. My average is between 3 and 4 depending on distance.
