I'm hauling produce and frozen all 48. Who do I call to get $4 a mile? I'm averaging$2-3 per mile and not to happy about it. Using Jerue and Robinson fresh.

It also depends on the miles. Nobody gonna pay $4/mile on 3,000 mile run. But if you're doing 300-400 miles it should be $4-5. Just ask for more and don't agree to lower rate. If you have to, wait until 4-5 pm when they're ready to go home and load needs to move.

Thanks. Just keep in mind that you're doing all the work. You're entitled to get paid, and you should dictate the rate, not a broker

A trucking company absolutely determines the rate... it just might not be you.
