Need help understanding the process for getting all my endorsements

    I am in Maryland. I already have a class A CDL
    I want to get my TWIC and haz,tanker,doubles.

    What I am confused about is it soeems like I need to be finger printed at the DMV wait for a background check a few days and then return to take the endorsements exams after my background clears?

    Then for my TWIC I need to get finger printed again?


    I am confused. A multi step process? This is gonna take weeks anit it? LOL

    Gonna take longer than a few weeks. My company just sent a email last week that background checks are taking up to 4 months to complete. When i first applied in 2019 it took 30 days or so.

    My understanding is to add endorsements now, you'll have to go to school again and take the practical again, unless you once had those endorsements.

    I have already taken the ELDT course, its been reported to the FMCSA.

    Fingerprinting is usually done at a 3rd party, Identigo I think. And yes, you get to do it again for the TWIC application.
