I do try to park either with reefers or with other idling trucks. Or off by myself in some hidey-hole somewhere.

I wonder what makes refer drivers want to park by flatbeds/tanks, I very seldom see a refer park by another one when there will be plenty of spots, maybe the refer guys dislike each other?

I for one sleep better when truck or apu is running, I start around 2-3 in morning, and backing out of a spot at that time is awful, could be dangerous, you seen the guys running in high range through the parking area? I can just see a guy running through the highly flammable liquid I’m hauling and if he does, no one in that truckstop will know anything except they went to sleep and never woke up.

 

I think every trucker wakes up one morning, palms his/her face, and asks, "How did it come to this? When did my life go off the rails?"
