Schneider used to give like $2,000 paid over a year for inexperienced driver bonus.

I think with the labor pool (drivers) being so saturated and having the better drivers being turned down regularly, the signing bonus is gone and not returning for a while.

When a company offers a "sign-on" bonus, the really mean a "retention" bonus. You will see it in payments over a specified period of time, as long as you stay there. Few if any are really sign on bonuses.

When I had multiple terminals; the chicago area location had a big percentage of guys who stayed 7 - 8 months shopping for the biggest bonus to grab next after receiving our 6 month payout.
The current times are not favorable to sign on bonuses, unless u r in chicagobroke down plumber and hope not dumb twucker Thank this.
