new driver turnover rate

    I'm not arguing with that, however I think your referring too a junk carrier where this guy will have too start but by no means has to stay.

    Most of us out here in these "no name" trucks stay out 4 or 5 days running 500-700 miles a day. Our delays are customer related and the bottom line, IMO, customers are better at their job than most of these idiots at the junk carriers.

    Trucking has done me just fine...minus the 5 years I wasted with Schneider and Knight.

    I think the thread was more geared to the high turnover rates for newer inexperienced drivers.

    The newbies are less likely to be driving for the smaller no name companies that are closer to the problems. More often than not the high turnover and newbies leaving the industry is going to occur with newbies driving trucks with Swift, Werner and CR England emblazoned on the doors.

    Hey Roadkill, thanks for the information. I believe you - 100 percent. There are too many others on TTR that say almost the same thing. Considering all the good and bad about trucking I would still like to try it for myself. If it doesn't work for me, so be it. I can always find another gas station.:biggrin_2559:

    ya now that I'm bulk/transport.. i will be staying with Pepsi. i just hope if something happens that thy count this as class A work now.
    but Pepsi is treating me good. full bennys 15 bucks a hr over time after 40 and work 60 to 68 hrs a week 4:30 AM TO 5 PM with 1 Saturday a mo.

    bulk for pepsi is Trailer load of pepsi product, instead of sideloaders going to C-Stores
