So I thought of a couple of ideas I want run by you. I will have a resume and cover letter no later than Wednesday. Then I thought I head over to Coca-Cola and hand in my resume for driver's helper position. That and other distributors. I really want to finally hand in my notice at this job I have now.
The lesson learned earlier today by being told by the recruiter that I need at least 3 year's driving experience made me explore a plan B.
Btw, i will meet with a recruiter of a driving school by the end of 2019!
New ideas

Most places don’t want to be bothered with a resume and cover letter, they much prefer you go online and fill out their application.
Also, I got hired without any truck driving experience. There are plenty of places that will hire someone with a brand new CDL. -
Get CDL go otr a year is the easiest route to get experience.

We don't bother with bots of resumes and such. Never had such a thought.
What we DO do is account for all time worked or personal (Unemployed time)
Trucking is very basic. Usually a 10 minute converstation with boss man who pulls a driver to toss you into the road test for 5 minutes and decide what time to start in the morning for real.
Even with hauling million dollar plus medicines was little more than a phone call, standard application and a time record going back 10 years. We were rolling within 90 minutes in 2001. None of those resumes etc.
