I grew up around and on trucks. My father was a truck driver for 44 years, owner operator for 35 of those years. Trucking is just in my blood. I love to travel. This is the perfect job for me. I went to college, got a desk job and hated it.

I see. Are going to lease on to an established company or get your own authority?

Why would you consider an LLC?

I wouldn't do that, there is no protection and the tax advantages are less than a regular corp.

What do you mean by no protection? And what are the tax advantages that you speak of?

There's lots of company's that take new Drivers , just don't know any that take new O/O with no experience.

I don't know if you checked with insurance company's for rates ( I would have checked before buyingvthe truck) but if it was me I would make that my next step.
You might have to do what Vic suggested or might have to hire a experienced driver to run team with.

Yes I understand. I checked everything out beforehand. My current insurance company that I have auto insurance with now is willing to insure my truck and trailer straight out of school. I have to be established 2 years before I can switch over to OOIDA.
