    I made a mistake, I understand they are offering Fuel Surcharge on empty miles as well so here are the new numbers.

    Old Model 7% deadhead against 100,000 miles

    $0.92 + $0.44 = $1.36
    $1.36 * 93,000 miles = $126,480
    $0.81 * 7000 = $5670
    total = $132,150

    New Model with 10% deadhead against 100,000 miles

    $1.08 + $0.24 = $1.32
    $1.32 * 90,000 miles = $118,800
    $1.32 * 10000 = $13,200
    total = $132,000

    New Model with 20% deadhead against 100,000 miles

    $1.32 * 80,000 miles = $105,600
    $1.32 * 20,000 miles = $26,400
    total = $132,000

    50% deadhead
    $1.32 * 50,000 miles = $66,000
    $1.32 * 50,000 miles = $66,000
    total $132,000

    100% deadhead

    $1.32 * 100,000 miles = $132,000

    I posted it on the Swift Facebook wall, less than 5 minutes it was deleted.

    On a 150 mt and 1000 loaded miles u make 39.65 more on the new l/op pay package plus your loyalty pay... So to extrapolate to a full week 375 mt 2500 loaded 99.125 + say .04 cpm loyalty pay and shorter loads on banded pay=100 +99.125=199.125 also incalculable how much fuel u save on mt miles ......I have to do a backwards analysis to see how much my mt miles are actually averaging...but I have definately seen more mt miles on load offers lately...that's real money on 13% deadhead.

    I figure about 9+ mpgs mt and less wear on the tires and drivetrain. Climbing hills mt to get to your next load will be faster therefore burning less time against the 70 hour clock and less burning up the consumable brakes going down same hills. I would suggest taking the extra money every week and investing it straight into Swift stock. As Swift captures more and more freight as Swift owners widen their freight search radius their stock should climb steadily.

    You use your brakes going down hills? I don't even use my brakes in the mountains unless I absolutely have to. =)
