I'll be the first to agree the driver should be paid for their time wasted like this, but let me ask you a question. Who pays the driver on the receiving end of this. When I drove for USA Truck I spent almost 5 hours waiting to get a trailer fixed. The driver that dropped the empty left it with 2 slick tires and the tandem locking pin mechanism was broke. It's such a simple easy call. Most companies have a mechanic close by that can fix trailer. There is no excuse for this kind of laziness.
