Or you could just buy a truck stop then complain about overhead, piss jugs and trash thrown on the ground people blocking your fuel island then to top it off spend no money in the store and complain that the parking is not free!

Sarcasm aside they are a business and if they have say 100 parking spaces and no body comes in the store they dont make money, do you deliver freight for free just because you're in the area?

Well Ken's truck stop in North Bend Wa, now a TA,started charging for parking over 30 years ago. 20 years ago now you still had some real truck stops around that had good food but most of the good ones I remember also had limited parking as in maybe 30-40 trucks. And you didn't have all the people that park and just cook in the truck but I have had manifold chili manifold soup, ravioli and so on back in the '80-90's but WE had no microwave or fridge

Doesn’t include “reserved parking” fees. So on top of pay to park in reserved parking fees you’ll have to pay the gate fee on top of that unless you spend even more money in their store and/or fuel.

Didn't care for the dude's tone, but I get his point.
I've been to 2 of those locations, Dallas and the funky one in Maryland. I bought enough stuff to not have to pay to park, but in both places, they were full up by 1600.
Hey, its a business and this is America. They don't owe anyone anything.
