Hello all. New Owner op here. I have an opportunity to purchase a newer flatbed at a good price. Only problem is my truck has low pro 24.5 and this trailer has 22.5. My question is should i wait for a trailer with 24.5 wheels? Or would I be ok with the 22.5. What issues would I run into.

Driving it won't matter. My trucks on tall 24s and the trailers I pull all have low pro 22s and been doing it for 8 years no problem.
If you own the trailer though it'd be nice to have the same size so you can recycle drive and steer tires to the trailer.JolliRoger, loudtom and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
11r22.5 are same heights as 24.5 low pro.
But line was state, can’t put old steers or drives to rear.JolliRoger Thanks this. -
If the price is that good, go for it, then find someone down the road who wants to switch or a tire place that wants to wheel and deal at a price. FYI, the 22.5 LP is the new standard.
JolliRoger Thanks this. -

I hear it’s getting harder to find 24.5 in truck stops or most places? I didn’t wanna end up on the road side and not be able to find a tire for the trailer.

I have the low air leaf suspension. I’m afraid 22.5 might put me too low to the ground in some areas I load.

I hope you have experience with open deck freight or someone who will train you.
