Ummm... Cool, what I was worrying about was driving in the desert in Nevada, and TruckerPath GPS just drop because I'm in a bad redemption area, I guess I'd still have Google Map on my phone but still, you know. I would use TruckerPath on my iPad, I have a 7in iPad that we use Co-Pilot on and I think I have a T-Mobile sim on it, so if US Mobile have better data than anybody else, I'll try it on my iPad and see how it is, meanwhile I'll head to the Love's down the road and see what Garmin they have before I start tomorrow, Co-Pilot might get cut anytime.

I used Trucker Path, Garmin, and the one from here which is a work in progress. But Hammer showed me the one bridge I could get under in Louisville. No others could figure it out.
With Trucker Path...You can look at the truck entrance. Know what's gonna be around you. I love it.
Garmin loves to give you the scenic route at the end. Go over there, then around, then back..... Get the idea? Don't let it pull this. Otherwise I use Garmin mainly. It's easily right there in front of me.nextgentrucker Thanks this. -

And thus....from the above posts we can conclude -- the "perfect" truck GPS has yet to be built & put into the field; they all still have their quirks & flaws.
Note also that...with the Garmin....after it generates a route solution....you can modify the route manually....to get rid of that "scenic route"...or whatever....if you do find/see a better/shorter truck-ready alternative....especially as you approach the "home stretch" to a customer's entry.
Follow-up: my RM Trucker Atlas shows 4 locations in Louisville that are below 13'6" clear -- thus, one could look at the GPS route solution there....to see if the mapping software was smart enough to steer you around these clearance problem areas.

Check out coveragemap.com You can see individual and overlapping coverage phone maps for the 3 networks and see which has the best coverage where you drive. If you are under a phone contract, don't break your contract. But if you are past your contract or already month-to-month check out US Mobile. They have the 1st or 2nd lowest prices of anyone, connect to ANY of the big 3. I'd only make one change at a time. Once you get one thing sorted out and fell comfortable change the next thing.nextgentrucker Thanks this. -
