I was talking with one of truckers from our company and he said that all new trucks will be coming out without emission system/particulate filter. Is there any truth to this or just hearsay.
Not unless they are Glider kit trucks. I can't imagine anyone would buy a new emissions truck then delete it and void the warranty.
Did he start with you ain't gonna believe this shot fairytales start with once upon a time truck driver story's you ain't gonna believe this shot
I can see that possible someday soon. Mahindra tractors aren’t using dpf to meet emissions. Technology will soon get rid of that nonsense system
What's the HP rating on those engines though? The standards are different depending on an engine's rated horsepower. As a random example: A CAT 797F haul truck doesn't use a DPF, just an SCR catalyst. CAT was able to keep the particulates under the EPA threshold without the DPF. Ultimately, the EPA isn't forcing any manufacturer to use a DOC/DPF or EGR/SCR. If they can meet the targets without it, the don't need it. That's why CAT never used EGR on their Acerts.
Kind of like when the cat convertor came out. Carburetors with smog pumps. Fuel injection comes out and the smog pump goes bye bye.
I was reading about the mahindras motors about a year ago not using dpf. I think it’s great and I’m sure others do as well. Just checked their website. The biggest motor they have which has no dpf or regen is 120hp
