Good story Moriarti. I also will be driving for Roehls Flatbed fleet as you know.(From the post in you fav company thread) I will be graduating from school on July 9th and startin orientation July 16th. I'm glad I didn't go to a school loke that, I would have quit and went to Roehls training. My school is 17 weekends, Sat and Sun 7:00AM to 3:30PM. I have two weekends left in the classroom and then 9 weekend outside with the trucks doing skills and on the road driving. When you get your own truck let me know your truck number and maybe I'll see you on the road.
Good luck driver! -
Do ya all relise you do not need to go to school to get a CDL?
If you all have a good Freind that is an owner operator and willing to train you ( He would have to be brave though LOL) Then go get your temps and CDL book at the local BMV and drive with him for a couple of months untill you feel confident enough to go take your test. You can learn more from him then any of these school will ever teach you. -
Do you also realize that any good company will not hire you without having experiance unless you have one of those little diplomas from a driving school.
-
Unless .... you want to drive for a crappy company or shady owner operator who does not care what happens to you or the truck.
