I don't think I would do tires ... I've only had 2 unloads, both easy. Fiberglass shower stalls, hand trucked them to the tail. The other I drove the Sprinter vans out of the back of the truck.

O/Os are paid $65 for an "assist" and $100 for a driver load or unload. I've done 1 assist to date and have no plans to EVERY do a full load or unload.

Some of the places would allow the driver to unload instead of paying the lumper $500 bucks. Wouldn't be a problem except they tell you you have 2 hours to get it done and that load of paper towel or soup or whatever, 22 pallets needs to be broken down to 50 pallets, quick math says way too much work and time lol otherwise I would fill out my own lumper receipt with my own EIN number and pocket the bucks. .

If you place one of the tires on the floor, laying horizontally on it's sidewall, you can use it as a "kicker". Instead of rolling or kicking the tires off the trailer, you drop one (vertically) on the far side of the "kicker" tire, and it will shoot out of the trailer right quick...

Except when you have to pick each tire up and stack it on a pallet at the dock.
