New California bill passed and goes into effect jan 1st Saying no more leasing on. You have to be an actual employee and they have to pay for benifits

    Oxbow Thanks this.

At least they gave them plenty of time to find somewhere else to work

Definitely. More often an inconvenience for most I think. Im wondering what all the port workers are gonna do. They're paycheck to paycheck running ran down old trucks.

D.Tibbitt, Intothesunset and Bakerman Thank this.

They will probably belly up and move out I'd imagine. The thing is, I think the rest of the country will eventually follow suit, not any time soon, but lease ops and those small companies who pay their drivers a 1099 gotta be squirming a little bit

x1Heavy, Intothesunset and Wespipes Thank this.

FYI 99% of lease ops are paycheck to paycheck. And one paycheck from being homeless.
