Shouldn't you be getting some rest for that grueling run tomorrow? Normally I'd be doing the same but I'm still filling out ####### applications Hoping for a miracle :(

Last night, I nosed in because it was too cold to be swimming in the lake my front end would have been in if I had backed in. I don't have my fishing gear with me anyway, so there was no reason to have my cab over the water.

I know, I know. Was awfully LAZY and UNPROFESSIONAL of me to not want to clean the mud out of my truck, carry the dog to dry land or hang my socks and shoes up to dry. I accept that.

Besides. I'm a Wannabe Flatbedder. I can begin the process of throwing my backing skills out the window.

Now here's an example of a consummate professional unlike some.... He could have nosed in so the head of his bed was higher but chose to do the right thing and back in and use his head to raise his bed head, fred.

I nose into parking spots for 2 reason.

1.) So I don't have to listen to reefer or truck engines running.

2.) because I'd rather have some ####### hit my trailer than my tractor trying to back into the spot next to me while his trainer talks on his cell phone.

Not sure about you guys, but if there is a open spot next to me then i can not go to sleep till someone parks in it. I have a parinoia about getting hit while i sleep since it has happend twice to me so far GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only thing i have against people nosing into a spot is when they do it with a spot right behind them. I will ONLY nose into a spot at the end of a lane where nobody can park behind me, making it easier to pull out in the morning. The one's who nose into a spot at 5pm and wake up being blocked in by the trucks on the sides and behind them make me laugh. Then again, those are the lazy one's you all are talking about.

Arrived at Whiskey Petes this morning at 0330. Found a good place in an angle park, but promptly pulled in, nose in.
My student asked me why I didn't back in.
"For two reasons. Both trucks on either side are dry van and our refer is running contineously. When you can accomdate your fellow drivers without hurting yourself..do it."
    "And the other?" he asked.
"I'm dead tired and I can't back for crap into these angle places. Again...be considerate of your fellow drivers. Nothing pisses them off more than to have to get up in the middle of the night to fill out an accident report!"

And so there you have it.

Im nosed in now with a pavestone under my front steer. lol

I use a pavestone when I want to lean a certain way for sleeping or watching a movie. So nice and quiet.

Half the trucks here are nosed in, including several flatbedders and o/o's.

It seems to be getting more and more popular. And.....gasp... no one seems to give a crap.Only a "super trucker" would care. lol
