Way to derail the thread. :) There's a whole forum for it!

So you're still with the company, oh yeah! My last load was 2972 miles, probably the longest that I've had since working here. Once I got to my destination, I didn't even want to be in the truck for a while. Driving between 620 to 680 miles for 4 and a half days is physically and mentally draining. Having insomnia doesn't help either.

As far as your car, there's a car radio program that aires during the weekend. Maybe the two hosts might have some decent advice. I'm no gear head, so I can't give out car advice. I'm only limited to changing starters, fuel pumps, tires, oil, gas, headlamps, wipers, batteries, spark plugs, and spark plug wires. Just the basic stuff. I'm still an idiot on everything else around a car though. Still room to learn for me though.

There are drivers on this board who will tell you that driving between 620 to 680 miles for 4 and a half days off is like having 4 and a half days off.

Those drivers are also "nuckin' futs"! DOT finds out the true mileage and "the fit will hit the shan"!

I would hate to think a driver couldn't legally run 620 to 680 miles a day on a 2900 mile trip, except in the northeast.

    Always the optimist, LOL!

If it's after "regular hours", I always send in the request for the Comcheck, and then make a call to be sure they saw the message. Never had a problem.
