NY Ifta

    I have HUT permit but do I need ifta also? I only make 2-3 trips to NY if that a month.

    I'm not sure of the question. I think you're asking if you have to keep track of your miles in NY for your ifta report because NY HUT? Yes you do. You also need to pay IFTA miles in New Mexico and Kentucky.

    If you cross state lines, yes, unless you can buy a trip permit from that state you’re going into.

    You need hut for anything over 16k, so a non cdl truck would need HUT but not ifta,

    Yes. You are taxed mulitple times on the same miles.

    your home state IFTA decal [over 26000 GCWR] is universal...you will find NY on your apportioned registration

    I thought toll road miles can be deducted from hut miles.

    I believe you're correct on that. But you still pay IFTA on toll road miles

    That's so hard. You pay HUT based on weight miles, then deduct the toll miles. I hated filing HUT!
