I started buckling up in 91. The reason...
Well I was in a rail yard going a bit to fast and I went over a set of tracks and got knocked halfway out of my seat, I almost lost comple control of the truck. I've been wearing my seatbelt since.
I understood then it wasn't just for my safety, it was about others safety and me being able to keep control of the vehicle if something should happen.

You only get CSA/PSP points if a DOT inspection was done. If no inspection was conducted then it'll only be a hit on your MVR. You probably already knew that, but all the newbies reading this thread may not.Lepton1 Thanks this.

There should be a yellow slack holder above your left shoulder. Ease a little slack and snap it shut. Presto perfect belt.scottied67 Thanks this.

There are situations you can be thrown across the cab if not ejected clean out. In the olden days when you see that chance coming, you wrapped around the steering wheel and raised up off that air ride seat before the smash. I would not wrap around today's plastic wheels, they will collapse and ram the steering column into your heart. So, the way to do modern trucks is to take both feet, brace em on the floor, ram yourself straight back and stay there in that seat with your thumbs out of the inside of wheel and your head against the rest before the hit.Lepton1 Thanks this.

I saw the heading "Toolbooth Racketeering", figured the toll booth operator was making someone pay more than the posted fare.
How is enforcing laws on the books considered "racketeering".
Now if it is a made up law, like the size of the pillow or color of your sheets in the sleeper, you may have a complaint. -
It's because you're ruski

@Russian
Are you willing to look another driver from your company in the eye and tell them that you are stealing from him?
In effect, that's exactly what you are doing.
Wise up. Your company is competing for business. Many customers sign contracts that require their carriers have minimum standards for CSA points. Every time YOU get caught being stupid it hurts everyone in your company. Good accounts can be lost, then suddenly there aren't as many loads for the drivers OR the company has to take customers that don't pay ####. As a driver you may not see anything but you are suddenly no longer pulling loads for customer X. Your company owner suffers because his profit margins went in the toilet.
I'm surprised you still have a job. One seat belt violation and you are on probation at my company. You are terminated for the second one. Our customers pay WELL and we share in that revenue. We don't tolerate ongoing stupid behavior.bzinger, Socal Xpress, homeskillet and 3 others Thank this. -
