O/O Flatbed vs Tanker $$

Do you know anything about what should be charged to haul freight on a dry van trailer locally?

 

By the hour with minimum hour count plus tolls plus tarps plus chains, round trip

 

No but I know I make more than you do!

 

There's this one guy on here that has an answer for everything. Let's see how he handles this one.

 

Flat/step can be pretty lucrative if your leased on with someone who has some good direct contracts or have your own when its busy. I would say more so than the tanker world.

Are you asking what a company driver makes working for an O/O?

Because the way you worded this it sounds like a CRST, Swift, Werner, Stevens (Insert your own mega fleet here) driver with maybe 6 months experience making a post like this.

An experienced driver would not be asking this,.. or at the very least,.. not the way you have worded it.

What I was saying is with a tank you will never haul more than one load at a time.
There is money in tanks and all you need to worry about is how many miles you can get a week.

I forgot the best thing about flatbed, you get to tarp at 4am.
