is there any tanker company that let you run power only? Im willing to locate for a job that let me run local or regional hazmat or non hazmat. No field work.

On the chemical side, companies such as Trimac, Superior Carriers, Transport Service, Dana, Henniff, Miller, and Service Transport among others should all be power only. Dana has purchased other carriers such as Suttles and Liquid Transport Corporation. Heniff purchased Miller recently I believe.

As far as local work or regional that will most likely vary depending on the terminal you’re leased on to. At least that’s how it is at Dana.

They may be power only but not on your own authority.

Their shippers and insurance companies will insist that you be leased and run under the company authority as they will not be comfortable trusting your insurance when the carrier's coverage already meets their specific requirements.

Florida Rock and Tank Lines recruits O/O but their truck specifications are fairly strict.
