I put in to be home 12/23 as soon as I got my truck assignment 4 weeks ago. Here it is 12/21 and I can't get out of AZ. I have a load that delivers in Dallas, TX 12/23 but I can't find an MT on the yard. I mean I can find plenty of them but apparently they don't actually exist. Looks like I might have to employ the "Set the truck on fire, rent a car, and drive myself home for X-mas" method of home time... lol

After sitting in Laredo for 3 days..I am out of there...suppose to be getting layover pay...however much that is? Anyways hooked to an mt (they have plenty if u need one) and drove a couple miles away for a live load. picked up 12/20 delivers 12 /27 in Pa. get to run it thru Manteno which will give me 4 days off including Xmas....I will let my DM off the hook this time for letting me sit all weekend in 75 degree weather...LOL..It was the first time I have had to sit more than a couple hrs waiting on a preplan...might take some getting use to if that is the way it's gonna be when things slow down. Hope everyone who is trying to get home for Xmas gets there.

Yeah, i'll have to agree with buckeye (if he actually said this...since the quotes on that post are all screwed up) don't call someone a rookie as a 'negitive' when you're one yourself. I guess if you compare ONLY 6 mo experience drivers to ones who are in their first week solo, you're an ol' pro, then sure...by all means call them whatever you'd like, and continue charging items out of the gift shop to your paycheck for direct withdrawl.

as far as the rest of your post....i would like to think you can spot the difference between a KW T2000 and a T660. and i sure as HELLo wouldn't run away from someone coming toward me. Maybe he's having problems sliding his tandems, and you ask me for help....so i go over, look at your trailer, and turn to you and say "pull the handle out"....and walk away. Or maybe someone told you, you had 2 flat tires....your spare...and your 5th wheel, and you're asking me to inflate them? i dunno....just taking a shot in the dark.....

Buckeye I did direct him lol I told him that when he comes through the main gate, the rows are in alphabetical order with big letters. You see at the gate there when you arrive, pull up to the gate, shut off your engine, announce your truck number and that you are T-calling, as was this guy's case, the guy in the office told him to drop the trailer in row E. He asked on CB where is row E. I left out these details to make it funnier.

The BS story about the guy in the red kenworth is for DickJones benefit because he called BillShatner on my factual story-- I wanted to show him what a true BillShatner story looks like.

Yeah, I am having issues with doing snippets in the same post. Sometimes do it right, sometimes not.:biggrin_25523:

When quoting you need to make sure that you don't remove the stuff between the [ ] in the quoted post. There will be a set of those at the beginning and end of the post you are quoting when you hit the quote button. Don't remove the [ ] either!

Thanks Lilbit, you're on top of things as usual. Yes, I've been working with the multi-quote button. That is when I get myself into trouble. lol

The story wasnt really funny to begin with. For someone who is 'always serious' as yourself, picking on a driver with 20% as much experience as you (probably), the story just made you look dumb....and it wasnt really funny at all. Its like Multiplying 150,000 x zero......its still zero.

or MAYBE.....the guy has been driving for as long as you have, and never been to the Edwardsville terminal, and didn't know the layout?? ever consider that? But i'm guessing in your massive 6 mo. experience, you've been to every terminal and drop yard Swift has in the system.
