By the way Roadmedic, sounds to me like YOU are in Control of You, not the company, and you refuse to held accountable for situations in which no one has any control over...good for you.
Oh what fun! Elogs

I basically work as an owner operator.
However, the freight is really bad in our industry and I may be headed back to the big truck again.SheepDog Thanks this. -

Look I didn't believe it either til he backed up his elogs and showed me the days off at hometime. He assured me that wasn't true, he was under a high value, high security load at that time. I thought he was hackin on me when he said he took a load to Calgary Canada then they needed him to take a load from there to Anchorage Alaska-- he was the only Swift driver with the credentials to do it. Then he sat up there for several days til they could scare up a load to Mexico City but he T-called it in Otay Mesa-- everything this guy said checked out.Injun Thanks this.

now your just screwing with us, if you really beleive this kid you have problems
There are companies like western Ditrobution with ARMED and ARMURED trucks/trailers for this type of freight NO ONE would trust swift or any other rookie company with something like this PERIOD
American TruckerSheepDog Thanks this. -
AT, you need to take a happy pill. Scottie is having a little fun. I've met him. He's not quite as gullible as he lets on here. Almost....but not quite.

Can't speak to the "holes in the dash." But the dash-mounted CPM200 is really not obtrusive and you'll get used to having it there real fast. I mounted my Rand TND710 just behind and to the left of my QC and usually had both GPS screens running. They compliment each other very nicely. If a driver can't find his dock with 2 GPS screens going he's got bigger problems than where they're mounted
It's actually kinda nice to be able to glance over to see how many driving hours you have left. The number is always right there in the upper right hand corner and will always display the lesser of your 11 or 14, whichever is controlling at that point; until you get down to the last hour and you're desperately looking for safe haven. That's where the thumb screws start to turn. It's then a game of "Beat the Clock" which I refuse to play. If they can't plan me properly with all the data they have at their disposal then I don't worry too much about shaving an extra hour or so off the day to make sure I'm not going to get violated (in more ways than one!) There are days I started looking for a parking place with almost 3 hours left on the clock. It depends upon a lot of different variables. That's when good old Macro 22 comes to the rescue and I get a good night's sleep. I've never met a game of manipulation I couldn't win as long as I know the rules and they remain constant.

You're trying to appeal to REASON, man. Problem is - there are NO reasonable people out there on the other end of the line. Good luck making sense out of this game. Better to just learn the rules and then use them AGAINST your opponent to WIN the game.
