OK, name the good things about Knight.

I have no love lost for Knight. That is obvious just from the fact that I quit them, and have certainly pointed out a lot of negatives about them here. But there certainly is a reasonable answer to your (reasonable) question.

If an individual has not (yet) be screwed over by Knight, if they actually ARE happy there, at least for now, then why should they NOT be loyal employees. They will get their eyes opened by the company, sooner or later. I just don't see any point in dumping on them here.

 

Sorry I came across that way. But I do see what you mean. I'm not trying to dump on a new driver just Knight. It's still the same ol same ol today as it was when I started a few weeks ago back in 2002.

I do apologize to any driver I offend that's not my intentions. I feel passionately for this once proud profession and it gripes me what these companies have reduced it too. If someone really does love this line of work after a few years they might start to see the light and see how much better it could be without the Knights of the world destroying the job in hopes of one day breeding people for the sole purpose of driving trucks all in the name of saving a buck.

More like some people need to quit laying down like dieing dogs and vacate these horrible value carriers trucks and maybe things will improve. Read through all of the Knight threads and tell me the underlying theme you see. Is it dishonesty ? Poor maintenance ? Stuck miles from home with no freight....frequently ? I'm surprised you can even look through Knights DAC and draw the conclusion that it's the fault of the driver that Knight is, FOR THE MAJORITY, a horrible place to work.

 

But if you are someone who isn't aware of this site, who has been out of work, you send an app off to Knight, and they call you back and tell you to show up for orientation on Tuesday? You go, with high hopes in hand, that you are making a good decision for yourself and your family. You want to drive a truck, and they have a truck for you to drive, sounds pretty good. Some things are okay, cause you don't know what you don't know. But I do know that what everyone has said is pretty much the way its happened. Not enough trailers, short way to go and a long time to get there, waiting, and waiting, and waiting. I am happy for the Kinght drivers who are doing well, best of luck to ya! But as the wife of trucker that has seen the bad side of Knight, I can say I am not so impressed with them.

I will miss you guys tho, this has been fun and informational
