OK, name the good things about Knight.

    Well if you are going with Knight Ref then Id. falls is a good one, Phnx is OK and Memphis sucks.

    okay nice things.

    My 3rd new truck in 5 years with the company just got it's first B service.

    Running up and down the 5 hauling mostly IKEA I get good miles and consistant hometime.


    Here's the problem, I don't like to run up and down the 5 all the time but running elsewhere for the big red r#t#rd is just foolish.

    Get burned out on the IKEA Burbank run yet?! Of course, you live around Tulare and get the better loads in S.CA.......I took the 60 mile trip over the Grapevine, thru N. L.A. traffic to Burbank, and ended up w/o an MT in L.A. ---the kiss of death for a Phx driver. I liked the IKEA Tempe's til they made them dedicated...also did San Diego/Emeryville IKEA runs....

    Me run south of Lebec, pft, never. Well almost never. I do canada loads to tukwila then spanaway loads back down to north cal.

    I'm seeing a trend here, if you work for Knight East of the Mississippi it sucks, if you work the West its not that bad.

    IMHO anyways. I cant comment, I work in the West and have no real complaints.

    I've read a few of these posts and I must say they are hilarious, straight comedy.

    They all suck to some extent and they all work for others, its a business out to make money, like myself. Its why they call it WORK. You might call it ##### kissing, I call it diplomacy but so far its working..... for me.

    Do they still overload/unbalance you? Was expected when I last took runs out of Lebec (which mile-wise helps you running north, since actual location of IKEA facility is Wheeler Ridge, 20 miles away, and 'shorts' all those drivers w/loads running south!)

    puttin in my 2 weeks today, knight is a joke, at least my terminal is. my truck is a death trap, the shop manager is an A hole, my disp is a miserable person. i get crappy miles, crappy pay, i'm lucky if i get reimbursed for stuff like scale tickets. like i stated before 1400+ mile trip netted me $285. joke!

    I would say Carlisle being as he lives in Pa but he described any Knight terminal so who knows. There's no point in giving Knight a two week notice. They won't have any freight going home when it's time to go. Just park the truck where it belongs and go about your way. There really is no better feeling than the feeling you get when you quit Knight.

    Ever noticed how Knight is one of the few mega junk carriers that has almost no cheerleaders defending them ? That's because they absolutely suck beyond belief. It's amazing how Knight views drivers as an incidental required evil to success, which by the way seems to elude them. Everybody at Knight recieves holiday pay everybody except the drivers who are sitting on that holiday in a pos truck that won't idle. All of the junk freight I picked up at Knight was already late when I recieved the load info despite the fact I had been sitting prior. Complete idiots.
