I know my old cobra 25 (with bigger Conex finals)connected to good quality coax and a single 4' Francis fiberglass antenna would reach out 20ish miles on a clear night on a quiet channel, 10ish miles on 'sesame street'

I am bypassing factory coax as was said n running new. Maybe tomorrow I'll have some updates or more questions. Thanks all for yer input

I might have spelled the name wrong...but it's the final transmitter(s) from a Connex brand radio. It has a higher wattage output than a standard Cobra.

Thanks Ridgeline. Didnt some of the older (better) 3300's use the original 1969 finals?

I think so but what I have here has the 2312 finals in them.
