Okay national is also on my list to call tomorrow, but the Xpress & TransAm weren't. Good to know who to call if I strike out with cypress. I got PTL and TMC on this list but I don't know about that TMC one after reading some posts lol think I got too much on my record, like a nice flatbed company

 

I tried applying their when I first got out of school with absolutely nothing on my record and one of the recruits came to the school and they didn't hire me then. Needed them or Swift I wonder what was up I was fresh out of school lol and they were recruiting.

I went with Werner which is why I'm in this mess (I do understand it's my fault) but I just got to do better if I'm given the opportunity.

 

The worst accounts for new drivers right out of cdl school are with Werner and Schneider. Those accounts are challenging for experienced drivers.
CR England won't even consider new cdl drivers on those accounts and even list that in the requirements for those accounts.

 

That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm wondering how they could even swing that. I just didn't know any better.

 

Yeah, I'm with Cypress right now, try them out, your preventable accidents doesn't make you look good though... But it doesn't hurt to try. ‍♂️

 

Werner and their Dollar General account is one I can attest to. Most of the DG stores are in very challenging locations for experienced drivers, yet I see Werner rookies hung up at the local store every other week for varying reasons.

I'd find a good OTR gig that has you on the big road for a few months, rather than every other day in a small rural town delivery situation.

Practice makes perfect, but sometimes a bit of experience on the road and learning the ropes makes for a longer career.
