Heck sarge. After a year you'll have all of Van Buren replaced. We can go back to a well run company.:biggrin_25519:

Yeah mine is doing the same thing and now it want run but for a few seconds and goes off. I reset it a few times and it stays on for 15 mins the goes off again. So I'm idoling until I can get it looked at

I have been told that with the extreme heat there is a sensor in the apu that won't allow it to run if the coolant is too hot. And if you just shut off truck motor the coolant just might be too hot. Try letting engine cool a little bit and reset apu and fire it up again. It has happened to me a few times and worked after doing that

Mine did that. There is a fan on the outside of that APU box. It has to be running. Mine blew a fuse. But he's right. If that's it, Shut down main engine. It will need to cool about 20 minutes. Then the coolant will be at a temperature the APU will run without shutting off. Good luck.

Seeing as I have a KW, I found that I just hit the fan override switch when I stop and rev the engine and within a min or so the temp goes way down, then I shut the truck off and APU is fine. In Roanoke this weekend, scheduled for a B1 tomorrow morning.

Thats what I was going to suggest, but I couldn't remember if any of the USA Trucks had a fan override switch. Running the fan at 800-1000 rpm for a few minutes lowers the coolant temp quite a bit :).
